I want to know how the party went!

Oh, the dress was a clusterfuck that didn't happen. I wore a LBD with a gold shrug and gold shoes. 

The party was great! We're still eating leftover food, but ultimately I had bacon quiche, onion quiche, ham sliders, roasted red pepper sliders, stuffed mushrooms,  and cookie and fudge trays. Much alcohol was consumed, and let me tell you, Midnight Mass drunk is totally the way to go. 

Mostly we sat around gossiping and bitching, and everyone chipped in to get me a Kindle for my birthday, which almost made me tear up a little. 

I will definitely have another one next year if we're still around.

I'm sooooooo glad it went well.  That's awesome they got you a gift.  I've been to more than a few midnight Masses drunk...it's hard to hide when you're the only trumpet though.
