Any Past or Future Drexelbrook brides?

Just curious how was the food? Any rants or raves?

What did you think of Plymouth? FI's prom (either junior or senior) was there & from what I remember the food was excellent. It has a very pretty lobby area & ballroom.

We went to a wedding there last year and the food was decent.  We were pretty happy with our experience :)

Yes plymouth was very nice but it was too far out unfortunately for a good amount of our guests.

Makes sense. I'm sorry you're facing difficulty choosing a venue.

I'm having my wedding there, and our tasting was flat out amazing!  In fact, I've never heard a negative comment about the food until this post.  It really doesn't concern me though because all of the vendor's I'm working with (and interviewed for that matter) had amazing things to say about how well run the Drexelbrook is and how great the food there is.  They've been so great to work with all around.  The wedding hasn't happened yet, but I would totally recommend them so far.

The food was my concern I heard 2 other people say the food wasnt that great and thats why I came here to ask. We have to pay for a tasting because we are not doing their official wedding package so  before we kick out any extra money I wanted other opinions. **Please tunnel do not take any offense to this post.

I came on here with tons of food questions when I was looking for my venue, and I'm very happy with my decision.  So trust me, I won't take offense to anything.

I will also note that we are getting their more expensive food options, so maybe that makes a difference.

I went to grad school function there in April.  I have to say, the food was absolutely horrid.  We had a pear and gorgonzola salad with wilted lettuce.  The main course was chicken parm in a tasteless, watery marinara, with a side of crabcake which was 90% breading, 10% mystery.  Our server was a bit off too.  Dessert was a fruit cup with sherbert of some sort.  DH is allergic to fresh fruit, so he asked for a cup of sherbert only.  30 minutes later, when we were already on the dance floor, our server comes back with a cup of only fresh fruit.  Cocktail hour was more edible, though not by much.  Everyone loved the chocolate fondue.  The cheese selection was ok.  There was some sort of Asian eggroll that was heinous.  I think the only reason the school chose the venue was b/c it has such a large capacity.

we were there for a wedding show... they had some risotto that rocked... suspect its one of their favored items.  of course they also set the curtains on fire while we were waiting for the fashion show..so it sure isn't boring lol.  i wd definitely do a tasting... so worth it to find out what they do well.
