shopping with other people

yes or no?

no.  i want to shop on my own schedule, and sometimes that means spending an hour at a store and buying nothing, or walking into another store and snapping everything off the shelves.

dh and i went shopping this weekend, and i felt like i had to keep asking him if he wanted me to hurry up.  he said he was fine, just tired.
when one person is done and i still have things i want to see, i feel like i still need to wrap it up quickly out of consideration for the other person.

I shop alone when I really need to buy something.
I shop with friends when we are just hanging out.

Alone,.  Occasionally I'll see if someone can meet up with me or drag Mr. Arb along if I've seen something I like and want a second opinion, but I absolutely hate shopping with other people because I feel like I have to rush.

    Same as NOLA.

Although DH is pretty good at the mall. He brings a magazine, or he has his phone, and he'll find a chair and hang out. He's good for a couple of hours, but I try not to push it much past an hour and a half. He doesn't actually go into many stores.

The only people I can really sucessfully shop with is my mother, and my friend Scott. They're both shopping addicts and don't mind being in stores for excessive amounts of time.

My mom and I shop great together. We want to look at the same things and will try on 30 pair of shoes just for fun, and we're cool with that.

Anyone else? Not so much, usually.

I do wish I had a good local shopping friend to give me honest feedback on whether something fits or doesn't or is/isn't flattering.

More and more, though, I just shop at TJ Maxx and buy 20 things, try them on at home, and return what I don't like or doesn't fit.  Not so fun.

I shop alone most times when I need to get something specific (well, my son comes with but he can't talk). If I'm torn I'll send a picture message to a friend so they can help me decide.

I usually shop alone becuase I'm a browser and very rarely buy anything, unless I have a purpose.  H was gracious enough to let me drag him along and I was very grateful for that.

Absolutely what Nola said.  DH and I have a "round" that we'll do together.  Since everything is 30minutes plus away we'll go together to Lowe's, TJ Maxx, the wine store, and then Sam's Club.  Anything more than that we go separately.

I love to shop alone.  I can take my time and look at every single thing in the store if I want to.

DH does come along with me a lot of the time and he's really good about not complaining, even though I know he hates shopping, especially if it's for no reason.

I prefer to be alone. Last time I went shopping with another person, she insisted on hitting up the cute stores that don't carry my size and I did a lot of standing around, looking at jewelry.

Shopping with other people makes me crazy if I have a 'plan'.  If I'm going shopping for nothing in particular, then I don't mind people.

I prefer shopping alone. Shopping with friends is never as fun as I think it's going to be. I either feel like I need to hurry, or wish the other people would hurry.

No. Shopping is bad enough; I hate having people with me. The only person I shop with is Bacon, and that's only if I have to shop for her. Luckily, we have the same ideas: grab some stuff, hold it up to see if it fits, get the hell out.

I prefer internet shopping if I have a lot to do (updating for the season), because then everything comes to my house, I get to try it on in comfort and nice lighting, and I can send it back if it doesn't fit.
