What did you say you put on open sores?  DD2 woke up with a small one this morning - out of nowhere.  I had no warning, no rash, nothing.  Just BAM, sore.

I'm a big fan of pinxav.

mister baby has really sensitive skin, and i wasn't able to ever find pinxav. any zinc stuff made him cry in pain.

the only thing that helped was using chlorine-free diapers and A&D. the A&D was the only thing that didn't make him scream. i also put neosporin on the open cuts when they first popped up.

I always have to ask the pharmacists for the stuff.

I've heard that coconut oil is awesome for any rashes and the like.

Is this to me?  If so it's an ointment you get in a tub or a tube.

6, yes, it was to you. and thanks again, ointment works best for us.

but for sores, we put neosporin under the ointment.

Okay, the pharmacy always gives me a big tub.  They are ~$15, but last forever and break down to about the same $/oz as A&D. When 6let went on antibiotics the first time he had a massive rash.  We tried buttpaste, A&D, and a few other things we had.  The daycare recommended pinxav and it was the only thing that worked. 

I've only seen the small tubes once at Target, but I'm sure you could ask them to order whatever size.
