Happy to see Ye Olde

She showed up this morning and brought a bit of a smile to my face. At least my ladyparts are still up and running. I could have done without the PMS cloud of despair and the constant backache, though. Ah well.

Port surgery is this afternoon. Things are getting ready to kick off. Of course, DH is 3 times as ready as necessary; all he had to hear was "lowered immunity"  as related to the chemo and he went out and bought a new vacuum cleaner, a new steam cleaner, 40 gallons of antibacterial soap/gel/body wash and a box of surgery-grade rubber gloves. He's notified all our friends and family of the detox procedures they must go through before being in the same room as me. He's washed every stitch of clothing in the hottest water our house allows. Someone's coming today to clean the air ducts in the house. *whew* He is a whirlwind of cancer-fighting activity.

I'm going to take a nap before we head out. I'll update later if I can.

Hah! WonderHusband definitely lives up to his name, over and over again. Ye Olde: Showing you your body is just as ready for the fight as your brain and heart are.

Ww, if you can afford it, look into UV light filtering on your AC system.  It can run $1-2k, depending on the size, but it kills everything going in and out of your system - no filter to change.  Just vacuum the bulbs every 4-6 months.  H installs them and we're putting them in our house.  I can't wait!

It's amazing how much of their own mind our reproductive organs have.

Yay for WonderHusband's drive to keep you healthy.  :)

I would expect nothing less from Wonderhusband.  I still say you should get a decontamination unit in the living room, along with loaner clothes for visitors.
