If you went to a silent auction, what would you want there to bid on?

If I had money, I would want an amazing vacation. In realy life, I would want either an experience (coking class, rock climbing, wine tasting, amsuement park) or a GC to a nice dinner.

Some great ideas! Thanks so much :-) I'm trying to find a bunch of options to get, and I didn't even think of cooking/wine tasting!

Services or unique experiences, for sure.  I would be most tempted to bid on things that I couldn't otherwise buy.  Gift baskets with combinations of items are also nice.  You can also call around to some local sports teams/college athletic offices and see if they might be willing to donate tickets.  When we've done raffles for my kids at school the local minor league teams have been pretty generous in donating items.

I bid on and won dance lessons at a silent auction for charity.  Hello, first dance :)Restaurant gift cards do well.  Also, (if you can get them)  autographed memorabilia of local sports teams.

    - gc for restaurants -- you can usually get them for under the value of the gc, so often a very good deal!- special experiences - something you can do with a group.  - tickets to events - again, often times you can grab something for cheap- vacations - i personally don't have the dough, but sometimes when people donate their beach houses, you can snag a vacay for a couple of hundred dollars.i run a large silent auction for work, so i am an auction fanatic.  both in organizing and buying =)

week/end at the shore Depending on your audience kids stuff. My flower girl's mom always buys stuff for FG. I like the DOC, photog, etc services. Maybe a one time maid service. I agree gift baskets are great. So maybe get small stuff from people and put it all together.
