1) i saw a live armadillo this morning. i was excited because every other armadillo i've seen in the past 2 years of living in TX has been dead. i was even more excited to see it at work and not in my yard. (the whole digging up the garden and carrying leprosy thing)
2) i went to the doctor at lunch today for a suspected sinus infection. he gave me a steriod shot and some medicine to help clear it up. i already feel a lot better from the shot.
3) i'm going to see "the perks of being a wallflower" today. I was excited to see it because i remember liking the book as a teen. i am not excited about the fact that it was a limited release, and there were only 4 theaters in the greater Houston area where it was playing. luckily one is somewhat near my office (20-30 minutes, with traffic).
4) Sunday is our anniversary (6 years!) so we're going to dinner at my favorite restaurant on Saturday night to celebrate. hooray for pesto escargot!
5) i feel super spoiled because daycare is holding a parents' night out next Saturday. rates are very reasonable (way better than hiring a babysitter), so we get to have a date night! We have a steakhouse GC that has been sitting around gathering dust for the last 6 months, and i was able to get a reservation.
6) last weekend - yesterday was very nice weather-wise. 60s (even some high 50s) overnight, and mid 70s during the day. it's going to be in the upper 80s this weekend. :-( i was hoping we'd get more weather like last weekend so we could go to zoo boo, the pumpkin patch, and the Ren Faire. Maybe we can shoot for next weekend.
