dh and i own 12 spatulas, mostly plastic. we also have 16 wooden spoons of various lengths, made from beech, olivewood or maple.
also:
-- six umbrellas
-- eight plates, fine china, purchased by my parents when i first moved out here
-- sixteen pairs of pre-pregnancy jeans (mine)
-- six boxes for appliances we no longer own, including dh's high school radio alarm clock
-- signed photos of bob packwood and mark foley
-- about a mile of various electronic cables
-- barbecue sauce from 2004
-- two boxes of garbage bag liners for a garbage can we have never owned
-- twelve rolls of wrapping paper

We actually just have a plastic bin where we put all cords. Sometimes, it's amazing what we can find in there.
we did re-box all the appliances that we have boxes for. as for the cords -- i think we can let the cords for the vcr go.
and we have TWELVE earbuds/earphones/ocular listening devices, gathered from cell phones, blackberries, ipods, and probably a walkman/discman somewhere. and i know one of them came attached to a bottle of shampoo.
The worst part of moving and finding this stuff...DH is a packrat. I'm bagging it up to throw it out and he's whining worse than a crazy cat lady on Hoarders about how he'll NEED all of this one day.
