We road many different rides and had a lot of fun on them all.
We road the Haunted Mansion
, the tomorrow land (that told us about the furture to come; which had phones in it).( the tea cups, starwars, train, smallworld) We ate lunch at a New Orleans restaurant. Bill got two pieces of chicken with French fries and Kelly got beef stew in a sourdough bread bowl. While we were eating it started to pour down rain. We tried to go on all the indoor rides and shows
. We both were very wet but Kelly was so cold she bought a pink hoodie with the Princesses on it. We drank coffee/hot chocolate at many different places because we wanted to keep warm.
Bill bought Kelly and light up purple rose. We watched the
[my high school] Band perform in a parade down Main Street,
the band sounded very well. Mickey and Mine, Snow-white and dwarves, Bell, Tigger and Pooh, Simba and many different Disney Characters We enjoyed so Donald Duck caramel corn.
We went to Downtown Disney afterwards to look around at the different stores. The windows in the stores were really neat with different pictures of all Disney Movies. We stopped at Wetzel's Pretzels and had a pretzel before heading back to the bus.
Then we loaded the bus to go back to the hotel, we got ready for bed and went to sleep.
Thursday February 19, 2004,
We woke up at 7:oo got dressed in our California t-shirt, we ate breakfast at the hotel. We depart for Long Beach to see the Queen Mary.
We took a self guided tour. We walked into a museum and read all the information about the boat. Then we were able to go on the different decks to look at some of the rooms and other stuff. We walked further down the boat that is now a hotel to see if some ghost show was playing it wasn't playing for another 3 hours and we weren't going to be there that long therefore we never got to see the ghost show. We went to some store to find out the background of Bill's last name. The man said that he was Welsh. We watched the
{High School} Band Perform.
We departed from their and headed to the farmers Market and
we eat lunch there.
Bill and Kelly both eat pizza their. We got a little time to walk around the shops but it was a very crowded area and we had to wait a while in order to get our food.
We left and went to the We went back to the hotel and had a bit of free time. Kelly changed her outfits about 10 different times. By the time she was done she set in an outfit it was time to leave again. We went the Rainforest Cafe for dinner. Santa Monica Beach & Peier, We went down to the beach and walked along the shoreline.
We collected a bunch of rocks for the Parfica Ocean. The restaurant was inside a shopping mall.We walked in through Sears. While we waited for our food we went out into the mall to look at the directly to see all the different stores in that mall. Kelly really wished there was more time for her to shop because her favorite stores were there. We got pieces of bread with sauce to put on them for appetizer Bill had a cheeseburger and
Kelly had chicken club sandwich (grilled chicken with Swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato).For dessert we had chocolate brownies with icecream, with a spakle on the top of it.
We stood in line for a man to make Kelly a balloon hat. It was a big heart on the top and other little hearts on the sides also with a bear on it.

We were one of the last ones on the busses. We went to the hotel to get ready for bed and sleep very well.
Friday February 20, 2004,
We woke up at 6:30 and went to have breakfast. We departed for Disney’s California Adventure. We got there really early, so we walked into Downtown Disney again. Most of the stores were closed but we got to walk always down to the end where there was another Rainforest Cafe, ESPN cafe, and we saw a tall hat and hotels.
We walked back and by that time some of the stores opened and we had chocolate milk and split a plain bagel for an additional breakfast. In front of the park their was big letters that spelled out California and there was a red bridge. When you first walk in there was a big large sun there.
We went inside and looked at the gift shops. We got our picture taken. We had a little bit of time before the
[high school] band was going to perform, so we went to the Muppet Babies 3D movie. Then we sat in an area and watched the band perform. They sound great. Will there was a break between the symphonic band and the stage band we went and got a hot dog, fries and drink for lunch. After the stage band we went on our way to ride all the different rides and to watch the different shows.We went into Bug's Land, were we see a 3D show. We had a lot of fun. the Madness (like the wild mouse) California Screaming, the history of California, Condor Flats (it was a journey over Califiorna; the road broke and we had to come back and restart)
For Dinner went to this Strips place. We had Chicken Strips and Fries for dinner. At the end of the night stayed and watched a really awesome parade full of light up floats.
(It looked like olgbay on wheels).
We went back to the hotel got ready for bed and then went to sleep.
Saturday February 21, 2004,
We woke up around 6:30, eat breakfast. We sent a full day at Universal Hollywood. It was a rain day once again. We walked around a saw many shows like Animal Planet, Back Draft, Special Effects, Back to the Future and we took at tour of all the buildings they have used over and over movies over the years.
we saw a 4D Shrek.
We walked to City walk were we went to Hollywood's Hard Rock.
Bill and Kelly bought Matching Tee-shirts. We also look at other stores down there, but we didn't find anything too neat. We went back into the park were we at dinner at Mel's Dinner. We both eat chicken finger with fries and got a side of onion rings. At the last minute before we were ready to load the busses. We found Brittany and she wanted to run back to one store to buy a Betty Boop pillow. When we were in the store Bill broke 4 little glass woody wood pecker statues. Luckily we didn't have to buy them! We loaded the busses and we took a very long way home, different from any of the other busses. I seemed like forever!!! We got back to the hotel where we started to pack. We order pizza from Papa John's. We had a plan meeting in the breakfast room. Then we went back to our room and got ready for bed.
Sunday February 22, 2004,
We woke up at 5:00 in the morning, loaded the busses with our entire luggage. We left for the airport. It was about an hour drive to get there with all the traffic. We got there unloaded the busses. We had to get our tickets and get our bags checked in and searched. The men searched the bags by hand. They never opened Kelly's bag, but they opened and dung all in Bill's bag, for no reason. We had to go security and we had to take our shoes off, and our coats. We took the United Flight 108. It was hard once again to sit together! But with moving and talking to people to switch with us we luckily got to sit together! We had about a two and half lay over in Chicago. We ate McDonald’s for lunch we both had Crispy Chicken Sandwich.
Then we just walked around the airport. We stopped at a few stores and bought a wedding magazine to look at on the plane ride to Pittsburgh. We got to sit where ever we wanted to and we just go random tickets. So when the plane was in the air we got up and walked around the plane asking people if they had our plane tickets because we wanted them for our scrap book. We got to the Pittsburgh airport and we got our entire luggage. Bill talked to the luggage man there and told him about his suitcase being broken and the man gave him 50 dollars off the next times he flies and it will never expire. We waited outside in the cold for Charlie Brown to pick us up and shuttle us back to our Van. We got in the car drove home.
(un)fortunately Kelly did not puke on anybody on the flight home...
***I'd like to mention that this was a high school band trip - and both Kelly and Bill had graduated 2-3 years prior to the trip. i have no clue why they were invited as they were obviously not qualified to chaperone 100+ kids.
