Table Cloths

Hi Ladies!!

I bought all of my table cloths from linentablecloths.com, and they all come individually wrapped in plastic bags. Therefore, when you take them out of the bags, they're all wrinkled with the fold marks in them. I bought 120" rounds, and 8 ft table cloths that reach the floor (so they're quite huge) and I'm looking for ideas on how to get the wrinkles out..

Anybody have any ideas? I'm looking for the cheapest way possible.. I've already tried washing them, and laying them flat, but they're still wrinkly. Any ideas? I don't really want to steam all of them.. because they're HUGE.

TIA!

Edit - The fabric is Dacron!

Re: Table Cloths

  • I would say iron them, but dacron? That's a random material. I thought they were either poly or silk/satiny from linen tablecloth. Google didn't even help in my search of "can you iron dacron..." I wish I could be of more help, but you might end up having to steam them. :/
  • When I Googled dacron, the words "wrinkle resistant" kept popping up.  Can you throw them in the dryer for a couple minutes?  Lately, that's how I iron everything.

  • You could see how much a dry cleaner would charge to steam them. Or just toss them in the dryer for a few minutes to loosen the wrinkles and lay/hang them all flat.

  • maybe contact a dry cleaner and see what they would charge to iron them.
