Hey I'm having my ceremony in a church on a saturday at 12:30, which will be like 15-20 minutes, and then the drive to the reception venue is 10 minutes, so the reception (at the earliest) will start at 1.
I plan on not seeing my fiance before, yet still doing some bride and bridesmaid pictures and the groom and groomsmen pictures before. But I think it's still going to take atleast 45 minutes for pictures inbetween (and to atleast get a moment with just me and my fiance<3 )
So my question is if the reception starts at 1 and the grand entrance isn't closer till 2 what do you think of having the buffet lunch open at 1 so the guests can start eating, since a 'cocktail hour' wouldn't really fit at lunch time.
I've gone to weddings were the guests are waiting for an hour till the grand entrance then eat for an hour, and people are just sitting there for 2 hours!! I would much rather have people up and hanging out and/or eating.
Sorry for being so long! Thanks for any imput!
