If you are....where are you getting your candy? I've been looking around on the internet, but not really finding any good deals!! Please help!

Re: anyone doing a candy buffet??

  • I've been finding my jars at TJ Maxx and Marshall's for all around $7-$10.  I didn't start buying my candy yet, but I did find this website http://www.candywarehouse.com
My sister also bought some of her candy from stores like BJ's and Sam's Club, but then you can't really do all certain colors.
  • I am! And what I plan on doing (my wedding isn't until next May) is buying some candy after Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter. I've also heard good things about Sams Club! I would definitely get an early start on it and you'll find the best deals! Good luck!
  • www.orientaltrading.com has decent prices on candy although their selection is somewhat limited.
  • I am!  My wedding is in March, but since I've only been planning for a short time, I haven't gotten out to actually buy any yet.  I am trying to find the cheapest candy that still looks and tastes good.  It kind of depends on your colors (if you're matching it to the wedding).  I agree with PP about going after holidays to the stores to hit up for candy.  They'll usually have it discounted and you'll get it a lot cheaper than online.  I'm going after Valentines day..conveniently, one of my wedding colors is red. :)
TIp for jars if you haven't gotten them yet.  Check thrift stores, good will, salvation army.  I got TONS of jars/containers for around $20.  And then also check Marshalls.  Got a few great things there for pretty cheap too!
  • I am.  We're getting married in July, our wedding colors are red, pink and ivory.  I'm going to start hunting for candy in Feb when all the Valentines candy, which just happens to be in my colors, is out!
  • Metrocandy.com was the cheapest I found for candy online.
  • Thanks!! Yea I also thought about buying candy on clearance after holidays, but I am not sure because then it would really be in my colors, but that is a good idea if I decide not to use my colors for the buffet!
  • I was going CRAZY trying to stay within my color scheme with candy for the buffet and then realized I was choosing candy not many people even LIKE.  I decided very quickly that I like color . . .color is my friend! HAHAHA now I am looking for cost effective but YUMMY candy!

  • I agree! I think I may resort to choosing color over sticking with my color scheme....pistachio and lilac are my colors and needless to say, I am NOT finding candy in those colors!!
