I have an issue... My Hubby-to-be is not really fond of dancing with his mother, or step mother. His mother was not involved in most of his childhood, and his stepmother never really wanted him around either. Would it be OK for him to choose to dance with his grandmother instead? She was the main mother-figure in his life growing up. He suggested that we forego the parent dances altogether, but I do not want to miss my dance with my dad. I know it would be awkward for the father/daughter dance to happen, and not the mother/son dance. How can we manage this and not step on toes?
