Alternative to longevity dance?

Is there an alternative to the longevity dance? (the dance where the married couples all go to the dance floor and the last ones out are the ones that have been married the longest). I have relatives who have been married for 50 years and thought it would be nice to do something like this, however, they will not dance due to their religion. Anyone have any alternatives as a way to honor their long marriage?

Re: Alternative to longevity dance?

  • I guess I have a different opinion then you then. As a guest, I always love watching the old married couples dance together. Its sweet watching elderly married people smile and look into each other's eyes. That's exactly the type of thing I like seeing at a wedding Oh well, anyways,  we are not doign that dance so doesn't really matter. lolYes, we do know who the couple is ahead of time.
  • I think it's cute too.  How about just asking them to share words of advice on sustaining a long marriage?  That way you can honor them, they can give valuable advice and no dancing required.
  • Honestly, if they can't dance then I would just leave it out.
