I am doing a candy bar too, I am doing it for my favors! I am curious, is this how most people do it, or do they have favors too? Also, how did you let people know they can get candy? Do you leave their bag of box to be filled at the table for them to see when they sit down, or how do you let them know? I'm hoping there's a cute poem or something out there or something!! Thanks for your help!

I was going to do a candy bar but keep changing my mind.  From the research I did most people do have it as thier favors.  That way guests make little bags of goodies to enjoy or to take with them.  Most of the time I've seen the bags or containers at the candy bar table but have heard of some couples having them set at thier table.  I think that a sign at the table or a little tag on the bag/container like: Step Right upTo the candy buffetIt's a fabulous endTo a wonderful dayor Enjoy the candy, fill up a bagAnd scoop to your delightWe hope you party and dance and laughHave an unforgettable night!orLove is sweet, take some treats!

I am thinking about doing the same thing. But I was actually thinking about putting the empty box at their seat with their name card tied on the bow (of course visible). and I'm sure the guests will get the picture, and if they don't then when you  make your rounds just make sure you ask them if they stopped by the candy table..good luck!

Ours is going to be set up after the buffet.  My WC says people never have a problem finding it!  I was going to do the container at the place setting, but decided to do favors also.  I regret it now though--if I had it to do over, I would have done the candy buffet only.  Favors seem like overkill now, plus it's more DIY.  Ugh.

I'm so excited about the candy buffet! I plan on leaving the take-out boxes, stamped with our monogram, at guests' seats. I'm thinking about including something about the candy bar on the menu cards as well. I would like to do this as favors, but my fiance really likes the sample soap favor we ordered from etsy. We decided we'd do both, if the budget permits.

I am having a candy buffet in the colors to match my theme. I am having it set out when my Cake and Venetian hour is set out as well. My only worry is there is SO much dessert, it will not be as 'appreciated'. This will not be my favor, I am also doing favors at each place setting.

We're doing a candy buffet as well. This will be our only favor and we're having personalized cellophane bags on the buffet table for guests to fill. If it seems like people haven't discovered the table we'll have the DJ make an announcement. HTH
