Wedding colors.. 2 different or 1 color(2 shades)

I know most people will have 2 colors.... or have contrast flowers.... But what does everyone think of one color but have 2 different shades?Our main color is light blue (Ice blue)... and I was thinking about have a darker blue too... maybe cobalt?

It sound nice! We are doing Dark and light purple, with just hints of silver and black.

I like the monochromatic look. We're doing eggplant and a light purple.

Thats sounds pretty to me. Which one would be your main color and which who be the accent one? Just curious cause you could go either way. I think a third color like silver would be pretty added to that mix of blues.

I like the idea of the contrast of one color. I will have light pink, dark pink, and orange with greens. I would add white or gold to break up the blues. I think that would be pretty.

I think that will be so fantastic!  I'm only having one color, amethyst (dark purple).  People have been asking "dark purple, and..." so I tell them dark purple and ivory, since my dress is ivory.  I think you should do whatever you want to do.  It's your day :-)
