HI,how do you know how to set up the reception? if your not having a planner.

    You'd have to speak with your venue and see what they set up for you and what you need to delegate to family and friends to set up yourself.

    I didn't have a planner either.  My venue, a B&B, set up the tables & chairs, linens, etc.  I got friends and family to help me set up centerpieces, favors, plates, flatware, champagne flutes for the toast, etc.  I appointed my friend's teenage sons as parking directors and beverage station stockers.  Florist did her thing; cake guy did his thing; caterer did her thing.My best advice is to be specific in your requests for help.  I had friends who wanted to do something, but weren't sure exactly what to do, so they ended up doing nothing for fear of doing it wrong.

    Speak with your venue, definitely.We had to decorate the tables, set up the cookie bar, the escort table, and memorial table. They helped us tear down that night(placed all of our things in one spot--we boxed it up the next morning). I'm thankful we had LOTS of help.
