Schaffer Sound or Tom Barrett DJ?

Has anyone had any dealings with these 2 DJs?  Likes/Dislikes?  I have already paged BP on Schaffer (I don't recognize the other two names who used him on the list), and asked on the DE board for recs about Tom Barrett, but I didn't know if any of you had heard of either, or had dealings with them, or been to weddings they have done.Good or bad, want to hear both.  If you don't want to post your opinion here, please email to msbriarrose@gmail.com!Thanks so much ladies!

I saw, thanks BP.  I am actually kind of hoping that others have heard of or used Tom Barrett, as he is the cheaper of the two.I called Don from D&J, and was not impressed with them at all.  He kept pushing and pushing, and I felt really uncomfortable.  Even when we told him that we are on a budget for a reason, and that he was way out of it, he kept putting other DJs down, and saying that his company was the only great company out there, and that we needed to cut back everywhere else to have him and we had to find the money and yadda yadda yadda...I went with my gut feeling, and didn't book him.

We're using Schaffer Sounds.  Our wedding isn't until 09/12/09.  But from working with them so far, we like them!

My wedding isn't until sept 2010 but we booked schaffer sound. I have been to a few weddings that they did and they were great! I honestly didn't even look into any other djs.

We are using Tom Barrett.  He has been great to work with so far, he has answered all my questions, always returns phone calls.  We are getting married Sept 18, and right now he mailed us a paper to fill out for our song selections. He seems to be very organized and experienced.  My sister got married last July and her D.J was awful...he played songs that she did not want to be played, the wrong song for her bridal party entrance, and he talked all the time!  very annoying!!!In my D.J search I was making sure I was getting an experienced D.J that knows how to do weddings, and I feel confident in my choice.I hope that helps.  I can let you know how things turned out after our wedding.

hey, we're using tom barrett too. honestly, i put Fi in charge of music but so far he seems great. i like that we write evrything down ahead of time of time, songs we like dont like etc. good luck!
