Sorry I'm sure I've asked a million times, but where in OBX are you going?  We're going to Nags Head at the end of the month, I can't wait!  You will love it there.  There's a wine tasting festival every Wednesday at Whalebone Club (Currituck Lighthouse) if you need some non-beach entertainment.

I don't think you've asked at all!I'm so unfamiliar with the area, but I'm pretty sure we're staying in Corolla (?) All I know is that the house is oceanfront & quite frankly, that was enough for me!I'll have to let the family know about the club - sounds like fun! It's good to know there ARE things to do. Everyone I've talked to has told me to "bring a book - you'll need it" ;]

Ah, OK!  Corolla is on the northern part.  It's pretty up there, definitely not as touristy as some of the southern points but much more built up than it was say 5-10 years ago.  AND that means you're really close to the lighthouse and wine tasting, it's a 30-45 min drive for us from Nags Head.  There's live music so definitely check that out.And don't listen to those people.  There's a ton to do up there.  They have 4WD tours and Jeep tours up there that look really fun, and I think they might still do wild pony tours.  And Duck is up that way which has some super cute restaurants and shops.  And of course all the water sports.  Can you tell I'm dying to go?  lol.  You'll have a great time!
