First Dance/Father-Daughter Dance question

We are planning on using "This Kind of Love" by Sister Hazel (3.5min) for the first dance and "Because you loved me" by Celine Dion (4.5min) for the father-daughter dance. We are using an iPOD for music. How long should I let them go? Does anyone know a way to shorten the songs without just cutting them off?

there is a program called audacity that you can edit music - it's pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it, and it has an option to fade-out/cross-fade the music so it doesn't sound just like a sudden stop.  I'm using it for our ceremony music and so far it seems to be working well! Good Luck!
