Head table back splash??

So, my caterer / decorator advised me that for my head table I should get some sort of back splash - & she mentioned balloons or those chinese doors with candles. But, honestly I am not a fan of that. My colors are orange and pink spring wedding so I thought what if I had gotten banners of flowers??? Idk still brainstorming this idea.Please, if anyone has advice pass it along!Tks!

Ditto aerin. This is someone just overthinking this. I'll bet that your decorator has "just what you need" and can sell it to you. Reality check: what did the wall behind the head table look like at the last 5 weddings you attended? I'll bet you have no idea. Heck-I don't know what the walls behind my own childrens' weddings looked like, and they're my kids! If it's not pretty enough for pictures, then don't take a lot at the table. But I most certainly wouldn't be spending a cent on the wall behind the head table. Unless it's concrete covered in graffiti tags.

Ditto pp, please don't do balloons!  Good call on not being a fan.  You could just leave it or hang fabric (chiffon hangs nicely) from the ceiling down to the floor.  Just 3-4 think sheets of fabric looks really nice and simple!  Does it make sense? Can you picture it?

I think you meant "back drop" or "back ground" not back splash? Anyway, balloons look cheap, and you aren't crazy about the chinese doors/screens. Folding screens, tall floor plants (real or silk, maybe borrowed or rented), a curtain (or inexpensive sheets), scene setters (google them), or some simple garland or draped inexpensive material. I would keep it very simple and stay away from anything busy or distracting.
