Scrapbook Guest Book Advice

I've been seeing a lot of people mentioning doing pix of the guests and having them make their own page iwth their pic for a more personalized guestbook.  I like the idea I'm just wondering if anyone has done it or knows someone who did and how much of a hassle it is and if people cooperate?

Re: Scrapbook Guest Book Advice

  • It works well if you have someone attending the table the whole night and assisting the guests. my friend tried it - they had a digital camera and a photo share printer so guests could take their picture, and print it out right there . . . not a whole lot of people did it becuase they didn't know it was there, didn't know what it was for, and/or didnt feel comfortable using the equipment. If you have someone at the table printing the pictures for them, it would work much better. Ultimately, I think it is a very cute idea and would be a great memory book!
  • We're doing something similar. I picked up a photo book at AC Moore that has slots for 4x6 photos with a few lines beside each for guests to write on beside where there pic will go. I am having someone help the guests enter the reception. Our Guestbook table will be at our entrance and guests will have their photos taken upon entering the reception. We will have the help of family and friends to place the photos with their advice or comments.
  • We did this with our photobooth strips.  What seemed to work best was to set out loose leaf 8 by 10 black sheets of paper, lots of pens, lots of stickers to adhere the photos to the sheets, and a big box to throw the finished sheets in.  This way guests could work on their sheets the same time as another guest.  After the reception, DH and I arranged the sheets in the order we wanted in a scrapbook that had clear plastic page protectors - we just slid all the black pieces of paper in.  It worked really easily and guests weren't trying to crowd around one tiny book all night. Let me know if you have any questions!
