Candy Buffet

So I have really been torn with doing my wedding colors for candy choices or just going with the candy we love(snickers rolos skittles ect) and not color coding it. What did you ladies do or what are you doing?

Re: Candy Buffet

  • ooo rolos I have not had those in forever I say that candies you love are tastier and more likely to be enjoyed by guests then certain colors candies. Although you are sadly missing resses cups from your list
  • We did a retro candy buffet - candy cigerettes, candy necklaces, wax bottles, pixy stix etc.  I had 28 different kinds, and it was a HUGE HIT.  I had 3 bins of candy, and most of it was gone.  Everyone loved it, and I received so many compliments :)
  • Hit post too soon... Originally I was going to do it in my colors, but when I priced it out, to get purple candy we were looking at almost $1000. and alot of the candy was gross - just getting it for color reasons (most was grape).  Shipping was rediculous!  Esp since it was in the hot months, and I had to overnight. I was able to get all the retro candy locally, and spent under $300.

Go with what you love. After all this day is supposed to represent the 2 of you and what you love the most.  Here are 4 ways you could incorporate your wedding colors into the candy buffet.  You could do the table linen in your wedding color for your buffet. Or maybe some floral pieces on the table. Or You could wrap a decorative ribbon in your wedding color around the candy vases.  Or the chinese takeout box or bag (whatever your guest will use to take the items home in) could be the color of your wedding.
  • I'm doing all white candy.  My colors are black/champagne/ivory.  I'm having a formal wedding and want it to look elegant but still want it to be fun.  I'm just decorating the table with candles and my linens are gold damask so it should be pretty.  At least I hope so.
