Wedding gift for best friend?

I need help ... I am in my best friends wedding in a couple weeks and I am trying to think of something personal and unique to get her but keep coming up blank. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to do the typical picture frame thing, I was thinking maybe $50-$100. Thanks girls!

  • If she has a registry, get something from it. We spent a whole weekend creating our registry, and she probably did too, and she probably put things on there that she really wanted. Look for something like serving pieces for her china that she's likely to have for the rest of her life. Every Thanksgiving when my mom pulls out her china, she reminds me that her favorite aunt gave her this piece or that her good friend gave her that piece.
  • I agree, go with the registry. Brides create it for a reason. Has she said anything about what she's really hoping for off of it?

  • I was my Best Friend's MOH, and I got her something off of her registry, and I also did something more personal.  I bought a 3-pic picture frame, and on the two outside frames I put pics of us doing something really goofy (we were on these ceramic ponies at a flea market).  Then on the middle frame I put a copy of a poem about friends...

  • A nice wedding night gift basket? Or a cute picnic basket with a bottle of wine, and some gourmet cheese and crackers?
  • A registry item, definitely. Or maybe put together a nice goodie bag of snacks and drinks for them to enjoy once they get to their wedding night hotel or their house (they may be too busy to eat much during the reception). Or ask their caterer to pack up some hors d'oeuvres, dinner and/or cake for them, and maybe add a bottle of wine or champagne. Or arrange ahead of time for something nice on their honeymoon ... a gift basket waiting in their room, a couples' massage, a pre-paid dinner or room service, etc.

  • Stick with whatever is on their registry. They made that wishlist for a reason and will appreciate and use those things much more than another random photo frame, etc.
