Looking for heart shaped bowls for centerpieces

I'm doing a double heart wedding theme in May and my idea is to do heart shaped glass or acrylic bowls with floating candles.  The only ones I'm able to find are 6" bowls and I think those would be too small. Any thoughts? THanks.

  • I would definitely look for them around valentine's day.  I know you might not want to wait until then but Ive seen them at Pier 1's, party stores and department stores around valentines day.  Maybe also see if you can rent them from an event retal place?
  • That was actually my first thought...to wait until closer to valentines day, but thought if I could get a jump on it I would.  Thanks.

  • Dollar tree has smaller ones (maybe those are the ones you've seen) but you could use two together facing opposite directions.
  • Dollar tree was where I saw them. Two together??? Now there's an idea. Thanks.

  • Walmart!  That is where we got ours.  they are glass dishes that look more like a candy dish.. but what we did was put a smaller heart shaped candle holder inside it with colored gems/rocks and then with rose petals around it on the table.. looked awesome and we paid $1 for the bigger dish and $.69 for the smaller one inside.. I thought that they would be too small as well but  you need to remember everything else that will be on the table.. you dont want a huge centerpiece.  ours turned out awesome and we didnt pay much at all.
