Coasters and Napkins, how many?

I was going to order the napkins and coasters since they are on sale on the knot shop. I am having aprox 80 people attend. I just didnt know if I should get 2 sets of 100 or just have one. I think 2 is better, but I dont want to end up with 100 leftover. TIA

Oh ok, no coasters then. LOL I do like the napkins though. I am getting married at a CC so they have regular cloth ones for the dinner. I just wanted something cute for cocktail hour. I am not getting married for while, I just wanted to get things I will want when they are on sale. Im a huge bargain hunter! Thanks for your advise!! So I think I will order 2 packages of napkins. Can always use them at home after the wedding!

The coasters are intended as favors for your guests, but I've been given the glass coasters before and they kind of suck.  Since they're glass, they don't actually absorb water from your glass like a coaster should so your glass ends up dripping water all over you and the table.  Pretty pointless as a coaster.As far as the cocktail napkins, we ordered 300 for 150 guests and ended up with more than half left over.  Our guest list went down by the time the wedding came around and people just didn't really use them.  I wouldn't order more than 1 per person if you have other regular napkins on the tables.

oh its ok! So if i did decide on coasters, then 1 pack is enough (100). so I will order two packs of 100 napkins then.

I ordered two hundred napkins! lol and I have about 110 people comming... One hundred of the black with silver, and the other hundred white with purple writing ( my colours) I plan on putting some on the tables, and the rest at the bar...if i have leftovers oh well maybe I'll use them for scrapbooking or something!

Yea 200 is plenty, not like I can order them each! LOL So I was thinking mainly for cocktail hour. I think it will be something cute to be at that bar, and something to keep at the main bar too... um idk if its the same bar. I will have to ask lots of questions when I talk the the ppl at my venue. I have to make a list! LOL

No idea what coasters are used for. Your tables will have linens so that nixes the need for them and they aren't intended to be used while just holding your drink as you would with a napkin, so I would skip those. As far as napkins, I have heard from people who have been-there-done-that to get at least 3-4 per person, with none personalized.

thanks, I ordered them yesterday, I could always order more if I really wanted to later too. So I was going to get the coasters for cocktail hour. But I am not ordering them, just got the cocktail napkins for something cute for cocktail hour.
