Centerpiece Idea-Need some help!

Hi Guys! Im having a summer wedding in July. The theme is summer love. My FI and I are going to make photcubes out of pictures frames and glue them together. Then in the middle is what we are stuck with. I don't want to do flowers or candles. I'm thinking maybe rocks in the middle but if you have any other summer ideas that would be great! Thanks so much

Not sure what your colors are but you could do fresh fruit. But if you are doing photocubes, you won't really see whats inside, just the top, so to save money you could have a filler on the bottom, anything cheap really (rock, books, newspaper) and then just put friut on the top as that is the only thing viewable.  (If I am understanding your vision correctly)

I think candles would look nice with photo cubes!!

Fill them with sand, add a little beach umbrella, towel and a ball? Or fill them up with your wedding colour candy? I've seen some attractive centre pieces using just bare branches with small lights or glass pieces and beads hanging off them ... not sure how summery that would be though. Just leaves and wildgrasses poked into pebbles or sand?

I've seen where people make pinwheels (do you know what I mean???) out of pretty/fun/coordinated --whatever your choice-- scrapbook paper. It sounds you like and your FI are at the least somewhat crafty and it could be fun. That was the first thing I thought of when I read your request.
