Wedding colours

Hi,I am having an extremely hard time picking wedding colours....I am not very coordinated at that... My wedding is late september... Please HELP!

Re: Wedding colours

  • Pick colors that you and your FI like, it doesn't have to coordinate with the season. My FI and I picked our based on our favorite colors. We're using Charcoal grey (his fav.) with a Tiffany Blue accent, and dark pink flowers (my fav.).

  • Either pick colors you like, or use neutrals (black, white, champagne, silver, gold, chocolate brown) and add little pops of color where you think it's necessary. Browse some Knot bios and wedding blogs to see what you like. I know someone who had black BM dresses and then had bright "rainbow" colors for flowers and some decor (table linens, cake decoration, etc.). It worked out really nicely because she used the multi-colors sparingly. I attended another wedding where the BMs wore a latte color, the table linens were white, and the flowers were jewel-toned (reds, oranges, purples).

  • Our colors are black and white.  Simple, classy, and I don't have to stress that the linens don't EXACTLY match the invitations.  Easy. You might also consider picking just one color (blue, red, etc.) and using all different shades of it, with maybe some white to balance things out.  That way you have a lot more flexibility, but everything still looks coordinated.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
