Dj Pricing...what's the norm??

Hey ladies..  I tried researching pricing on dj's however, noone shows their pricing online... everyone wants you to call them!!  I know someone in the dj industry and we've decided to go with him. We're going to be meeting with him next week and I want to go in knowing what the ballpark norm is for dj's these days, just to make sure I don't end up paying way too much. Any input????... THANKS!!!!!

It will vary from place to place. I would try posting this on your local board so you know the going rate in your area. As for Southeast Louisiana/Gulf Coast Mississippi, the going rate is anywhere from 350-800 for 3/4 hours depending on if you want the light shows and whatnot.

I would check with your local.  I  got married in SJ and it was $200 an hour.

Prices vary. I also HATE it that they all want you to call them.

I agree that you should ask on your local.  We're paying $700 for our ceremony and the 4 hours of our reception in N. FL.

in my area they average about 3 or 4 k for 4 or 5 hours.

We are paying 550 for the wedding and reception and he is doing lighting!

Mine will likely be over $1,000 because I live in a high COL area.

We paid $600 for about 6 hours (although there's no real time limit), and that includes some lighting, but probably not everything we'll want, so we'll pay for more. We're in Alabama.

Mine is around $800 and I get 2 DJ's.  They will do the lighting as well and be there for the ceremony & reception.
