wedding colors

I recently got engaged and am trying to decided on wedding colors.  I know I want my bridesmaids to wear dark purple dresses.  I found a color combo here on the knot that my fiance and i love - purple, blue, and tan/brown - but i am totally lost as to how best to incorporate all 3 colors into the reception decor and have it look nice.  any suggestions?thanks for your help!julia

You can incorporate colors in table linens, and with flowers. While there are very few blue or tan/brown flowers, you can use purple or ivory ones, and have blue/tan ribbons, candles, the cake, favors, vases, etc...
