Centerpiece Idea

Hi ladies-I'm thinking of making a centerpiece out of picture frames. I'm sure many people have done it in the past. I'm thinking about hot gluing four together to make a square shape. Then in the middle putting a vase and filling it with rocks or possibly even M&Ms(edible centerpiece) the pictures would be of me and my FI throughout our years of dating with eachother, family, & friends.

GREAT IDEA WITH THE M&M'S.WATCH THE $ ON THE PICTURE FRAMES,THOUGH.MAYBE YOU COULD MAKE THEM TO SAVE $.I AM ALSO DOING JARRED TEAL/GRAY M&M'S.DECIDED TO DO TALL VASES WITH FLOATING CANDLES AS CENTERPIECES.

Pictures of the couple are always a great idea.  Try to use older and newer pictures.  I suggest putting them on a mirror surrounded with tea-lights in the center of the table.  It gives the table a little more elegant look but still shows the personality of the couple.  You can tie in your colors with accent rocks or ribbon on the frames.

i've seen square clear glass vases with built in slots to slide pictures down into.might be cheaper in the long run than buying that many picture frames and vases

When I got married  we did somehting similiar.  We took 3 wooden frames with no glass and made a triangle using tape to hold the frames together.  We had photos printed on a very thin paper and put a cangle in the middle so that the photos would glow.  turned out great but labor intensive.

To be the bad person here..My FI and I were going to do this, and then we realized that it looked a little bit too "All about us" which yes a wedding is "All about us" but it just seemed like a little bit too much of "us"  We are doing the picture frame thing for our card box, but just think about 30 tables with pictures of you guys could be a bit of an over kill. 


Yes, yes it's a cute idea and if that's what you want to do that's awesome, it is a cute idea, just think about a little bit of overkill with pictures..

We're doing something similiar, but with a different spin on it. I am taking two pictures of us and placing them back to back and laminating them. Our centrepiece will be a 9" rose bowl filled with water and some rocks at the bottom(in our colors). I plan on clipping a paper clip on the bottom of the laminated photos and submerging it in the water and having an orchid floating on top. I saw this at a bridal show and loved it!

dmccloskey7 - sounds like an interesting idea. Do you have a picture of your idea? Maybe from the company which put them on display at the wedding show.
