So, we've found the perfect reception site and its very conveniently located only 5 (town) blocks away from our church. Because of taking pictures after the ceremoney, both at the church and at the reception site, how long is too long to make guests wait? What is an appropriate amount of time to delay the festivities in order to get all the group pics taken? The hotel blocked off is only a few blocks further from the hall, and everything is taking place in a beautiful lake town, complete with beach carousel, art museum, kids museum, cute shops, etc. So there are things for people to do, but I'm not sure how long a break is ok and if I should structure activities for guests to do in that time--or just let them roam where they please.
