Combined Photo Album and Guest Book

I think the concept of a guest book is great, but I think I'd be much more likely to pick it up and flip through it once in a while if it was also a photo album.  I have been looking for a guest book with photo pages from several different sources, and I haven't been able to find anything.

I originally was looking for something with several writeable pages in the front and spaces for photos in the back, but it could also be nice to have each guest sign a page and put a picture of the guest on their page later.

Has anyone seen anything like this in their searches?  Any good ideas on how I could make one myself?

Re: Combined Photo Album and Guest Book

  • That's what we did for our guest book.  I used Picaboo and created a photobook filled with pictures of us from the entire time we've been together.  Some couples do this but use their engagement pictures, and that's great too.   Anyway, I put only one or two pictures per page so that guests had plenty of room to write on each page and sign and leave us messages.  I love it.  I sits on our coffee table even after a year and a half since the wedding and people still flip through it when they come over.

  • Shutterfly is also a great site.  If you sign up, they email your discounts and promotions.
  • There are a lot of great sites like shutterfly, and picaboo. I used mypublisher and it came out great.  We used engagement photos we got from our photographers.  I don't like guest books, but some people want to write messages so I figured this was the best way to go. It's really the only way I'll look at it!
  • Unless your guest list is really small, it's going to very hard to guarantee that you get a picture of you and your FI with every guest at your wedding.  I get what you're going for but logistically I don't think it would work.
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
  • This is what we are doing for our wedding as well.  I found ours on etsy.com by elegantlybound.  You can also customize what you want the front of your book to look like (fabric, monogrammed plaque, etc.) and her pricing is extremely reasonable.  I think we paid 40$ for ours.  There are also many layout options for the inside of the book. Good luck!

  • Have you thought about buying a diy album. There are great looking post bound albums out there that you could custom towards what you are looking for, blank pages, photo pages, ect. tTy looking for smaller scrapbook albums online. We're doing something very similar.
