Budget Wedding, decorating high ceilings

My reception area has very high ceilings, and their not that appealing. So I'm trying to figure out how to decorate them while not paying a fortune. I know that draping fabric and lights help but they both can be expensive when buying in bulk. I'm just looking for any other ideas or advise on how to approach this. Oh and also we're not a fan of the lanterns. Thank you everyone!

  • honestly, just leave them be.  Sometimes the more you try and cover something up the more you draw attention to the object.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • That's my planner's advice, too. People won't look up unless you draw their attention upwards. Make your centrepieces and table settings really nice, and no one will notice the ceiling.

depending on a) how big the reception space is and b) how much free time you have you could make something to hang down from the ceiling. I've seen paper flower strings, paper cranes etc.
