How many rose petals should I get?

I can get rose petals in sets of 500 we are having 18 60" rounds ( around 150 ppl probably less)  I am having purple pin tuck table cloths with mostly white flowers, so I thought white petals on the tables might be a nice touch. 
I might use purple petals on the guest book table and cake table since they will have ivory polyester table cloths. 

How many of these boxes of 500 petals should I get?

I am the worst at trying to guestimate things. But we also did fake rose petals down the length of the tables at the reception. I think we had about 14 12 tops tables. If I remember correctly we bought about 6 boxes, but it sounds like you may need more than that.

It is always better to buy more than you need. Save your receipt and you should be able to return them after the wedding.

it all depends on how many petals you want on each table...if i remember correctly i had 26 tables....plus the cake table and gift table....i think i got about 8 packages of the 500

It is a neat tool.  I had a 50 foot long aisle to buy rose petals for and I had no clue how many to buy. I would've WAY under bought if it weren't for that link.
