US Honeymoon???

My wife to be and I are talking about being smart financially for our wedding/honeymoon.

Are there any nice, romantic US Honeymoon locations? Any ideas/suggestions?

There are thousands.  what type of atmosphere do you want?  Beach, snow, country, rural, etc.?
  • no. there is not one single romantic place in the US LOL
of course there are but you need to give more criteria. budget? interests? dislikes? length of time? season? for how long?

HOWEVER dont assume the US is cheaper than international without pricing it out

  • We honeymooned in Maui.  That's in the US.  :)

The US has everything from Hawaii to Disneyworld.  With New York, Las Vegas, Colorado ski resorts, the Grand Canyon, Arizona spas, Napa Valley/San Francisco, Florida beaches, and the US Virgin Islands in between.
  • Sanabel Island in Florida is beautiful and rather affordable. I also personally love Venice Beach, CA; it's got a really artsy feel to it (so maybe not ideal for all honeymooners). REI has some amazing vacation packages that include kyaking with whales, hiking, climbing, etc; if you're interested in those types of things.
    Praying for a miracle!

It's a damn big country.  Where are you?  The less you pay in airfare, the more affordable it is going to be.

  • We did a week in Virginia. A few days in Williamsburg, a few in Charlottesville. But we're history nerds, so that's what we focused on. Colonial Wmsburg, Busch Gardens, Monticello, wineries, all of that was romantic to us.

  • You both need to determine what you want to do on your HM, ie do you like history? Beaches? Swimming? Adventure?

Then it helps to know the month you are thinking about. Different parts of the country have different weather.

There is also a Honeymoon board to the left.........when you are able to supply more information, then ask again.
  • Charleston, SC is really nice.
