Does anyone know anything about legal information and liability to providing your own beer and liquor for wedding reception? Do you need to have insurance to cover liability of those drinking at the wedding reception?

If you are truelly asking about Minnesota this is what I know.

I believe that the venue has to have a liquor licences for you to have liquor at your reception regardless of if they are providing the liquor or you are.  If you are providing the liquor the venue will most likely require you to sign a waiver or an agreement or something.  

I do beleive however most venues in the larger areas are not going to let you bring your own liquor in but will require you to use their bar and liquor.
