Board Game Guest Book?

Hi all,
So FI and I love to play board games, especially German-style games like Settlers of Catan and Carcassone.  We were thinking it might be fun to get a new game and have guests sign the cards/pieces instead of a traditional guest book.  Do you think this is a good idea or too weird?  Also, we are having close to 200 guests--does anyone have any suggestions of fun games that have enough parts or cards for that many people to sign, and are also large enough to host a short message?  Thanks!

Perhaps Risk would be good since the board is so big. Settlers is a small game so you have to get several to make it work. I think it's a great idea though. Jenga blocks could be fun too but they are pretty small.
  • What about The Game of Life?  It is on amazon for as low as $17.00.  There are also themed editions for a higher price.
  • We strongly considered doing this before we found posters that we liked.  Since we met working on the Jungle Cruise, we were going to use the Adventureland board game.

If enough of your guests are of a particularly nerdy bent, you can pick up a bunch of blank Munchkin cards and let people create a few for you.  You can just make a small sign explaining how it works and let them go nuts.  I just had this idea just now, but I'm sort of wishing I'd had it earlier because it would be crazy fun.

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I want people to write " marriage advice" on fabric pieces, then Im going to get pictures from the wedding printed on fabric and make a wedding quilt.

  • OP - that's a really cool idea!! What about Pictionary or Balderdash? I bet you could get some really funny messages with the cards from either of those games!
