COMFY shoes?

hi everyone! Don't think I ever really introduced myself even though I have posted a few things, and asked some questions! Anyway, HI! I'm Robin, from South Philly.  Getting married November 14th and having the reception at Luciens Manor in Jersey. I am now coming down to under 3 months, and am slowly trying to get all the little things under control.  I know I have to go for alterations next month, so I wanted to get shoes.  I would like something COMFY, but I am 5'3, and my fiance is 6'2...I'm a shrimp! Any suggestions??? Everyone on here is always so helpful! Thanks!! :-) Robin

Thank you very much! I am an OLMC girl! We have the Venetian for cocktail hour and the La Grande for the reception. Did you grow up in South Philly? Are you a Goretti girl?

I ordered ivory flats from Dessy (dessy.com) - they were cheap (about $30) and you can't get much comfier than flats.I'm short & my fiance towers over me as well, so there was really no point in trying to make up for the height difference. I wasn't sacrificing comfort for that, haha.

Hi Robin, welcome and congrats! I'm in the same boat as you, 5'3", FI is 6'4".  I got really cute 3-4" (can't remember) heels from dsw.com.

I wore Old Navy flip flops for the entire day. I bought cute shoes from Naturalizer, which were comfy, but way too tall for me. So I ditched them at the last minute.

My shoes had about a 3" heel, and I wore them all day. I thought they were very comfy. Grace, "Chelsea". I bought them at The Wedding Shoppe in Wayne.

Check out my bio. I ordered my shoes from Shoes.com. Now I haven't worn them all day yet, but I live in heels. During my fitting they were fairly comfortable considering they are about 4" high and I stood for 30 minutes straight in the same spot.

It took me months for find a pair of cute 2" heels I could wear over and over again.   Here they are - Stuart Weitzman "Reversal".  I got them in silver.  They're the most comfortable pair of dress shoes I own.

We are working with Dee also, she is great! We don’t have to go in for a tasting until March. But I can’t wait to pick my cake! We have the Venetian because the two smaller rooms are booked already. What are your colors? I graduated in 04, last class! How do you like the neighborhood? You can e-mail me nicole.fiocca@yahoo.com

*steffiel* I JUST got my Dessy flats yesterday! I am an 8.5 and I am surprised the size 9 feels short. I think because it is the elastic- pushes my foot forward to the front. Does the elastic loosen a bit?My FI isn't too much taller than I am (5'5" vs 5'11") so I wanted to go with flats and also my wedding is outside and I didn't want to sink in the grass. Besides, most shoes aren't seen anyway....
