Love a venue, hate the caterer, what to do??

I really want a rustic feeling wedding and i found the perfect venue. but with the venue i HAVE to use the caterer, that i feel is overpriced and isnt flexible in working on the menu. what should i do??

I would look for a different venue.  Have you tried the caterer's food?  If it's good, you may find that the price isn't that different than what other caterers offer--not sure how much you've looked around--and maybe it's worth it.  But I would definitely comparison shop, and make sure you do a tasting before you book, since the caterer is not flexible.

Simple answer is it's can't be the perfect venue if you don't like the cater.

Food is too important to me to mess around with, so I'd be looking for another venue.

Guests will remember your food far more than your venue.  And you will remember busting the budget for a caterer you can't afford because you like the venue.  There are great venues out there that will fit your budget and giveyou the vibe you are looking for.  This isn't it.

I am also having that similar problem, but I have my caterer and many banquet halls have only certain caterers allowed. My caterer is resonably priced and the food is great, so me personally am trying to find a venue around my caterer. Like others have said food is very important! Good Luck.

Find another venue.  

If the caterer is out of your budget, the venue is out of your budget.  You don't want to have to cut your guest list or go into debt to buy food at your wedding.

Everyone is right find a new venue.. I also had this issue and Im a vegetarian so Im very picky on what food will be served. Ask the venue If you can pay a xtra grand or something to not use them cause in the end all they want is the money
