Waterfront Autumn Wedding Ideas??

My fiance and I booked our reception site because it has a gorgeous view of the ocean.  However,I've realized it might not be the best location for an autumn wedding.  I don't want a "nautical" or "beach" theme but I do want my colors/theme to highlight the view without appearing too "summery". Cocktail hour will take place around sunset... so our guests will get to see the view.  Then once the sun sets, then  the city skyline will be in the background. Anyone have ideas??? I'm lacking in the creativity department :(

    What about a navy blue and yellow or orange or peach? Or maybe green and ivory? Those seem like appropriate color schemes to me, but really, you could do whatever you want. It doesn't really matter unless you really want it to be season appropriate.

    why wouldn't a water view be the best for autumn? who cares what season it is. decorate as you normally would-the benefit of water front will only add to it.
    any colors you choose will be fine.

    dh and i had ours waterfront in november and it was gorgeous. dont worry about it.
