cupcake tree centerpieces

hi!
i'm having cupcake tree centerpieces for my wedding reception. has anyone ever done this before? i'm using the wilton cupcake stands.

i'm not sure how to make them look cuter. i was thinking surrounding them with some candles and origami flowers or something.

does anyone have any pictures/ideas?

thank you!

Re: cupcake tree centerpieces

  • If the cupcakes are decorated nicely, and the rest of the table has place setting and stuff, that would probably be all the decoration you need.  You could surround it with petals.  I think I would do flowers or petals, not candles.  I don't know if the heat from the candles would mess with your icing.

Maybe something like this picture, but on a smaller scale for the table.

  • You could possibly weave ribbon through the stands themselves, but I also like Dani's idea of petals on the tables. If the candles are far enough out, they shouldn't melt the icing. We had tealights scattered around our cupcakes and they were fine.

    Good luck!
