Good news! I finished the Columbus Marathon!
Bad news! Back to trying to lock down a venue.
We are doing this early, because some places are already booked solid through 2014. SERIOUSLY. So, I feel pressure to get this figured out in November, before the holidays.
We have gotten information from a lot of places, and we've narrowed it down to four venues. I have my obvious favorite, but it's also the most expensive, so I'm trying to keep my mouth shut, since my mom is going to be paying a large portion of this. I'm trying to have an open mind--and in the end, as long as my fiance is at the end of the aisle, who cares? Right? Right.
We're meeting with these people November 5th. Everything's set up. It's going to be a long day--I'm running a 10K that morning, then having brunch with friends, then meeting with the four places, one right after the other, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm. I hope that is enough time, but it is what it is, since my mom's from out-of-town and we have to do this in one day.
Now, the question. What questions should we be asking? I want to make a list so we can keep on track at each venue. I also want them to try to give me a ballpark estimate of OVERALL cost, since some of them include things that others do not. We can then take all the information and make a decision before Thanksgiving rolls around.
