what do you guys think?
we're having cupcakes instead of cake anyway, and if we're close to capacity at our venue i don't know where we would set up a cake table that wouldn't look funny. i'm thinking of having a tiered plate server on each table with a variety of mini cupcakes all frosted yellow (our colors are yellow and grey.) then maybe some votives and bud vases scattered around and that's it.
we won't have a separate cake to cut, we'll probably just feed each other a mini cupcake. then the guests get cupcakes and a sweet/salty table with favor bags for dessert.
our reception is in an a refurbed industrial space, and we're not schmancy centerpiece people. plus it would save us $$ on flowers AND cake so we can buy more booze.
would that be weird though? it sounds fun in my head but you never know...
