Covering up walls

My fiance and I just looked at a venue that we ALMOST loved.  I'm wondering if people have had any luck transforming spaces by hanging pieces of cloth up on the walls, and if so, how did you do it?  I'd love to see pictures of people doing this successfully.  Thanks!

Sorry I wont have any pictures until the day of the wedding but we are doing a back drop behind the wedding party table. It will be white organza material with string white christmas lights behind it. I have been to weddings where they covered up "ugly" spots on the walls with a huge satin cloth.  They just draped it and it looked great. Are you planning on covering all of the walls or just a portion?

I've seen backdrops or draping of fabric and all has turned out well [:

Yes, find someone who does drapping. Drapping can do wonders on an ugly space. As lighting can too.
