Reducing Floral Centerpieces

Hey everyone:

My reception venue is pretty large, so to take up space, I want to increase the number of tables.  I have a limited budget, so I can't put floral centerpieces on all of the tables.  What do you think of putting floral centerpieces on some of the tables, and maybe doing candles or something on the others?  How about putting floral centerpieces on the tables along the front and perimeter of the room and the other centerpieces on the inside tables?  Thanks =)

Re: Reducing Floral Centerpieces

  • We are having NO floral centerpieces -- just candles, crystals, etc.  However, I do have a January wedding, so I am  replacing flowers with snowflakes and sparkly twigs.  The theme is ice and snowflakes, making it really easy to avoid floral center pieces and easy to save lots of money!  Maybe you could find a theme item to pull into your non-floral pieces.  Also, my venue is providing the glass and crystals and tea lights, so I don't have to purchase any of it.  You may want to ask what they will let you borrow or rent, too.

    Good luck!
  • I don't think anyone would say "No, we are sitting at this table because it has flowers!"  most people will not even notice and if you did half candles, it may add some ambience to the room
2 of us- a bunch of you! Celebrating the whole night through!
  • You can definately do it!  We are doing every other table with red vases and a candle, and then every other table with eiffel tower vase and ostrich feathers (so that it's not so crowded looking).  I think that it'll look good while bringing a little variety to the room.
