Hello all, just wondering - what is the typical amount of time for a reception? Our ceremony is at 1pm at the Botanilcal Gardens, after the ceremony the guests are invited to check out the gardens if they like and walk around for an hour or so while we finish pictures. We will be having a shuttle to take guests to the reception location, a hotel where many peole are staying. I was thinking of doing a cocktail hour from 3-4, give us time to finish pics and maybe just take a breath, then us "officially" arriving at 4 and doing dinner at 5ish, followed by dancing til 10. So basically, 1-3 ceremeny, 3-10 reception. Is that too long?
