Wedding dress vs body shape

I have a curvy shape, larger bossoms ( thats the best way to describe it sry if it  sounds crass) small waist and stomach and a bigger behind. I wonder what my best dress options might be. I LOVE LOVE LOVE fit and flair. I think it would accentuate the positive so to speak. any opinion? thx ladies!

The only advice I can give is to go and try on what you like.  I had my eyes on a dream dress for years, when I went to try it on I found out that style of dress doesn't look good on my body type.  I went with a A line corset back.  I don't like fit and flare or trumpet style because it seems uncomfortable to sit and dance in so maybe keep that in mind when you start to try on dresses.

All I can tell you is to stay as far away from empire waists as you possibly can.

I'm similarly shaped to you.  Avoid empire waists, consider A-line or mermaid/trumpet-style (fit and flare).  Personally, I have not been able to find a strapless dress that fits my bust without being afraid it's going to fall off.  I haven't totally given up, but I'll probably have a seamstress attach spaghetti straps to whatever dress I choose, or pick one with straps.  Corset backs also make things easier if you have a larger bust.

I have a similar figure too. I found an a-line dress with straps that have a bit of lace on the inner edge to keep me from being a bit too cleavagey (that's a personal preference). I have larger thighs in addition to my hips and butt, and fit and flair ended up not being that flattering, but I've seen it look great on other people.  I'd also look for something that really accentuates your waist, like a belt or a wrap type thing. My dress has a wrap and it really does give an exageratedly small illusion. I agree with pp   though, avoid empire waists.

I have a similar shape and found that fit and flare looked best on me. A-lines were horrible.

You really can't tell til you go.  I thought fit and flair was the last thing I'd want (I'm petite and not at all curvy, larger waist / smaller hips), but I ended up buying a fit and flair style dress!  One thing I have heard is that fit and flair LOOK great on a curvy body type, but can be very difficult to move around in....part of the reason the dress worked well for me is that my small hips didn't completely fill out the dress, giving me a little more wiggle room.  Even on my body type, the fit and flair was less comfortable than A line, but I liked the look better so I went with it.

Individual styles vary so much, and it all depends on your priorities re: style and comfort.  I would just stay start with fit and flair, but be prepared to not like what you thought you wanted (and maybe love something you would have never thought of!)

I defnitely agree with the poster who said to go in and try on lots and lots dresses of all different styles.  You'll soon see what looks good... and what doesn't!  I laughed so hard when trying on some dresses... it was just scary how bad they looked on me!

As a bridal consultant and a bride, my best advice is try on what you like, but be open minded, allow your gut reaction to the dresses you try on and the consultant's interpertation's of said reaction guide you to the dress of your dreams. Body types don't define what looks good on a bride, her glowing face does. Your confiendience is key in the guest's interpertation of how look. So, go play, but be sure to articulate what you like and don't like about the dresses. Best wishes on your search for the perfect dress!

Agree with everyone here...was certain I would not have a strapless, sweetheart neckline dress and that is exactly what I ended up with.  I tried about every style possible - but you'll know when the dress is right.  Go with your instincts and be open-minded when trying on dresses!
