Guest book on each table??

Was thinking about getting small writing journals and placing one on each table with a different questions posed on each. Such as "best memory of today" or "best love advice you could give us"  Has anyone ever done or seen somethng like this. I think it's a neat idea, I love books and have a BA in literature so I'd be interested in seeing what everyone says, but I'm having trouble coming up with 10 great though provoking questions, and I'm not sure what the guests will think of this instead of just a traditional guest book to sign.  Thoughts or ideas??

Instead, I think it's better to have a 'well wishes' area as a guestbook.  This way people can choose to do something while they're up and mingling.  I have a feeling that it wouldn't go over well as a table book.

Like PP said maybe do a wedding wishes. We are doing this along with a traditioanl guest book and I really hope we get some good pieces of advice and some funny thoughts.

Sorry, but I just don't think that people will want to journal at your wedding reception.  They're coming to see you and your groom (of course!) but also to see friends and family that they haven't seen in a while;  to catch up and mingle;  to laugh and share memories;  to enjoy good food, good drinks, and dancing.  Expecting them to fill out a questionairre?  I'm afraid you're going to spend a lot of time and $$ for little gain.

A friend of mine did the following:

They had a sign that they were going to have the loose leaf pages bound and made into a book that they could keep.  The papers were sitting infront of pictures of their parents on their wedding days.

The first idea in the following slideshow is a good way to implement your idea.  I've been thinking of doing something similar myself.  Not so that everyone will have to answer every question; each table only answers their question, so you have a few mini-guest books with more interesting things written as opposed to one that has genericwishes in it.

what would you do with all the journals anyway? are you really going to store them all? i would just done one table

I think it has a bit of the idea you're going for but a little more organized and less questions. Each person would have their own page. I'm considering getting one myself. 10 questions is too much IMO and it's true, what would you do with the seperate journals? I'd prefer to have everything in one place. HTH good luck!

I think you'll be really disappointed if you do a book per table.  Many people only write their name, and maybe "Congratulations!"  leaving you with a lot of blank space.
