I need help... We have a wedding venue that is much different than most... it is a veterans lodge, so lots of old hangings on walls, very old carpet and tiny tables with those brown and gold chairs. We chose this venue because we dont have to pay for a fee, we just pay for the food and beer and that is saving us a ton of money. They also don't have your standard rules that most have... Our original idea for our colors was watermelon, lime and black ( so for center pieces we wanted to do limes in vases with pink daisies, sitting on square mirrors with tealights and black shiny marble accents.. . .My question is will it look tacky to take a really old place and try to decorate it with that kind of color scheme? We also will most likely have to rent the large round tables to use because the ones they provide would barely fit 2 people once you add plates of food, center pieces and their drinks.... my thought is that we should make it more of a "country setting" and have more rustic decor.... it's in July though so
I don't know if that would fit in.....weddings are so hard and we are very low on a budget so I need all the help I can get since a wedding planner isn't even an option.......what do we do? Thank you to all that respond!!!
